Rethink
I read an article about a girl who started chalking peace slogans on sidewalks in her hometown and she was requesting more quotes which I emailed to her immediately. Then I had this thought...why don't I follow her lead here in NNYC and chalk peace quotes all over the apple. I have a big bucket of chalk and I often carr a piece wit me to leave notes for friends outside their flats...why not!?!?
I mentioned this to my boyfriend (who, by the way, is the most wonderful person I've ever met and I'm feeling rather lucky) and he LOVED the idea and wants to chalk with me. We will start one night this week, after the threat of rain passes. He suggested we start at the G.E. building because of their ties to the military.
The first chalking will read:
"Peace can not be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding" - Albert Einstein
This has given rise to other thoughts:

- Perhaps some of you will go out and write peace quotes on your sidewalks. If so, please share your story a/o pics with me.
- Those of you who have children may want to teach your little peace-makers the message of peace and have them chalk a peace quote in a playground. If so, please take a photo and send it to me.
- Perhaps you have a peace quote you would like me to chalk....just email me and I will do it!!!!!
